Pricing IQ

Analyzes realized pricing versus ERP prices, surfaces margin leakage by customer and item, and powers Price Volume Mix (PVM) decomposition across any time period.

What Pricing IQ covers

Pricing IQ compares what your customers actually paid (realized price) against what your ERP says they should have paid (ERP list or contract price). It surfaces the gap — the margin leakage — at the customer, item, and transaction level.

On top of that baseline, the PVM Bridge dashboard decomposes period-over-period revenue change into three buckets: how much came from price changes, how much from volume changes, and how much from a shift in the product mix your customers are buying.

💡
Pricing IQ shows inputs and outcome trends. It does not expose formulas or ERP-vs-recommendation comparisons publicly.

Key concepts

  • Realized Price — the net unit price actually invoiced after all discounts and adjustments.
  • ERP Price — the price recorded in your ERP system (list, contract, or standard).
  • Price Exception — a transaction where realized price falls below a defined floor or threshold.
  • PVM Bridge — the Tableau dashboard that shows the Price, Volume, and Mix decomposition waterfall.
  • Paasche Method — the index methodology used to isolate the pure price effect from volume and mix effects.
