How to Master an ERP Account
Link a raw ERP customer record to a Master Customer — either one record at a time or in bulk using Batch Edit.
-
1Open Enrich → Master Customer Assignment
Click Enrich in the App Bar, then select Master Customer Assignment from the Workbench Selector (the blue dropdown at the top right of the screen). The Data Grid loads all ERP customer records for your connected systems.
-
2Find the ERP account you want to master
Use the Filter Panel on the left to narrow the grid. You can filter by customer name, ERP source system, or other available fields. Click Search to apply. If the account is already mastered you'll see the existing assignment — you can still re-assign it.
-
3Click the row to open the assignment panel
Select the ERP customer record row. An assignment panel opens — this is where you link the ERP account to a Master Customer.
-
4Assign to a Master Customer
Choose one of the two paths depending on whether a Master Customer already exists:
Master Customer already existsType the Master Customer name in the assignment field to search existing masters. Select the correct one from the results list. The ERP account will be linked to it.
No master exists yetClick Add New. Enter a Master Customer name (and optionally a Family Name for corporate grouping). Save — the new Master Customer is created and this ERP account is automatically assigned to it.
-
5Confirm — look for the blue dot
After saving, a blue dot (●) appears next to the Customer Name in the Data Grid. This is the manual override indicator — it means a user explicitly set this assignment rather than the automated matching algorithm.
Acme Corporation
Use batch assignment when you want to assign several ERP accounts to the same Master Customer at once — for example, multiple ERP system records that all represent the same company.
-
1Select multiple rows in the Data Grid
Check the row checkboxes on the left side of each ERP account row you want to assign together. You can also apply filters first to isolate the group, then select all visible rows using the header checkbox.
-
2Open Batch Edit controls
Once two or more rows are selected, the Batch Edit controls appear in the toolbar above the Data Grid. The control bar will show the number of selected records.
-
3Select the target Master Customer
In the Batch Edit panel, use the Master Customer field to search for and select the master you want to assign all selected accounts to. As with the single-record flow, you can also click Add New to create a new master on the fly.
-
4Apply — all selected rows update
Confirm the batch assignment. Every selected ERP account is linked to the chosen Master Customer. Each row will display the blue dot (●) manual override indicator once the update completes.
About the Manual Override Indicator (●)
The blue dot next to a Customer Name means a user manually set that assignment. This is important for a few reasons:
- Manually overridden records are not re-evaluated by the automated matching algorithm on future data refreshes — your assignment sticks.
- It makes it easy to audit which records have been reviewed by your team vs. which are still relying on automated matching.
- If you need to remove a manual override and let the algorithm re-evaluate, you can clear the assignment from the same assignment panel.
