📦 Inventory IQ

Inventory IQ

Unifies on-hand data across every ERP, models statistical safety stock and reorder points, and surfaces exceptions before they become stockouts or overstock.

What Inventory IQ covers

Inventory IQ pulls on-hand quantities, ERP safety stock settings, lead times, and transaction history from every connected ERP and presents them in a single unified workbench. From that baseline it computes statistical safety stock and reorder points using actual demand variability — not rules-of-thumb — and classifies every part with an ABC/XYZ segment and an Exception flag.

Key concepts

  • Recommended Safety Stock (Rec SS) — the variability buffer Marquis IQ calculates; compare to your ERP SS to find gaps.
  • Recommended Reorder Point (Rec ROP) — the quantity at which replenishment should fire; some ERPs call this field "Safety Stock."
  • Scenario — the date window used for all demand calculations. Default is Last 12 Months. Change it in the Filter Panel.
  • Inventory Exception — a rule-based flag (Overstock, Low Supply, Stock-Out Risk) automatically evaluated for every part.
  • ABC / XYZ — two-dimensional segment combining cumulative value rank (ABC) with demand predictability (XYZ).
ℹ️
Marquis IQ reports on sub-ledger and operational data — gross margin, inventory value, working capital. It does not produce P&L statements, income statements, or COA-mapped financial reports.
